A Different Kind of Yoga Teacher Training

Designed with your body and your life in mind.

For people living with arthritis or chronic pain, traditional yoga teacher trainings can present barriers.

Long days sitting on the floor, physically demanding practices, rigid schedules, and expectations about what yoga should look like can make becoming a yoga teacher feel out of reach.

We believe there's a better way.

Come As You Are was created to make comprehensive yoga education more accessible without compromising the depth and quality of the training.

With self-paced coursework, adaptable practices, meaningful teacher engagement, and opportunities for live connection, you can learn in a way that respects your energy, abilities, and individual needs.

You can take breaks, revisit lessons, change positions, and move through the material at a pace that supports you.

Because your experience of living with arthritis or chronic pain isn't something you need to overcome to become a yoga teacher. It can be a valuable part of the perspective you bring to teaching.

Self-Paced Learning, Meaningful Connection

The flexibility you need. The community you deserve. Your training combines two important elements:

  • Self Paced, Supported Work

Access comprehensive lessons and educational resources online, allowing you to learn on your own schedule. Begin your training whenever you're ready. Study from the comfort of your home. Pause, review, and revisit lessons as needed. Adapt your learning environment to your physical needs. Explore movement, breathwork, meditation, philosophy, and the foundations of teaching yoga. Engage with expert instructors through asynchronous discussion and access to get your real-time questions answered

  • 45 Hours of Live Interactive Learning

Yoga is also about connection, conversation, and shared experience. As part of your 200-hour training, you'll complete 45 hours of live learning with Dr. Steffany Moonaz or Kimberly through a variety of online gatherings. Rather than requiring you to attend the same class every week, we offer several opportunities to connect, learn, discuss, get in-depth responses to your most challenging questions, and engage with your yoga community. These experiences allow you to deepen your understanding while building relationships with fellow students and teachers.

Learn From Educators Who Understand Accessibility

Dr. Steffany Moonaz and the Yoga for Arthritis Teaching Team

Led by Dr. Steffany Moonaz, founder of Yoga for Arthritis, this training draws on years of experience in yoga therapy, research, education, and accessible yoga practice. Dr. Moonaz has dedicated her career to exploring how yoga can support people living with arthritis and chronic pain and to making yoga education more accessible. Together with Kimberly and the teaching team, she offers an approach that values scientific inquiry, yoga philosophy, individual experience, and meaningful human connection. Our goal is not to teach you to fit a particular image of what a yoga teacher should be. It's to help you develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and personal understanding to share yoga in a way that is authentic to you.
